my clients use an add-in that's on their local drive. every time i change it, i have to redistribute it and babysit them to be sure that they're using the right version. how can i remove the local add-in reference, move it to a network drive and then re-associate it with excel. thanks in advance, jack

i've deployed word 2003 (office 2003), via group policy, to about 10 computers. i'm able to set several options in word 2003 via gpos. when i go to tools, templates and add-ins.. to add macro that these users need; i can add the macro just fine and i see the new button up on the toolbar. however, if they were to close word the macro is no longer loaded automatically. they need to manually go back to tools and templates and add a check mark next to the macro. is there a way to have word remember this setting or maybe load this macro directly via group policy? thanks.

i have create a .net officed shared add-in that is correctly installed and runs. i am trying to call the add-in using the outlook rules wizard and i want to find the best way to do this. the add-in should run when a mail comes in with specific text in the subject. i have set up this rule, but i am unable to call my add-in. do i use vb script to call the add-in or call i call the add-in directly. or can the add-in be notified by an event? the add-in will read the e-mail containing xml and process this, sending out a return mail. any advice will be most helpful.

when someone gives me an email with a web page to look at (hyperlink?) i could right click on it, get a dropdown menu and click on add to favorites to look at the web page later on. now when i right click there is no add to favorites in the drop down menu. i can do alt,v,h and then i get a drop down menu containing add to favorites. but its just for that one email. it seems to have happened since installing winxp sp2. how do i restore the words add to favorites into the drop down menu please?
