friendster myspace

hi, if i wanted to create a site such as friendster.com or myspace.com, what kind of programming or web knowledge would i have to know. i have a good understanding of creating and designing "regular" pages, but i'd like to know more about building sites with lots of users, and the ability for everyone to communicate with each other and for them to upload pics/have profiles, etc. any help would be greatly appreciated. johnny luckyx26@com(no spam)cast.net

are you guys really asleep? i am so not tired. i guess it's that anxiety creeping in again. *sigh* i've bored myself of im, i've posted to my blog, i've downloaded music and burned cds, i've checked my e-mail and written some, done friendster, myspace, and the facebook...what is left? i wish i could sleep. *sigh* -- man's mind, stretched by a new idea, never goes back to its original dimensions. -oliver wendell holmes http://geezohpetes.blogspot.com

an online friend of mine has convinced me to join friendster and myspace. meh. i did it, but i'm not sure i see the point since i don't think enough of the people i know online are into those sites. but if any of you are on those sites and want to "friend" me, here are my links: http://www.friendster.com/user.php?uid=15609072 http://profiles.myspace.com/users/15091763 i really don't think that my style of social life fits those sites, though. -- kimberly chapman, raving lefty loony kimbe...@kimberlychapman.com sorrows of adoration - a novel by kimberly chapman five stars from amazon's #1 reviewer! new book series coming soon: the colonial chronicles see http://kimberlychapman.com for details http://www.livejournal.com/users/kimberlychapman/

a "friend" of mine submitted my e-mail address (not this one, but my most precious one) to friendster.com so that friendster could send me an invitation (on his behalf) to join. i am livid about this. is there any way to really get out of a company's database once you're in it? they have a decent looking privacy policy at http://www.friendster.com/info/privacy.jsp, [and the oh-so-trustworthy truste logo] which includes the following:
