i have upgraded my dell dimension 2400 from xp home to xp pro, when i open xp's help and support center i know it is suppossed to give you links in the did you know? section, but mine won't do that i just get the message saying: "when you are connected to the internet, this area will display links to timely help and support information. if you want to connect to the internet now, start the new connection wizard and see how to establish a web connection through an internet service provider." i have done everything i know but it still won't show the links and i am connected to the internet by an always on dsl connection. any help in resolving this is greatly appreciated in advance. ludakris

obviously, i'm new to photoshop elements 3. here's the problem: when i open "help", it takes up the entire screen, so i can't use it and the edit screen simultaneously. when i click "minimize" or "reduce size", the entire help screen disappears. i cannot grab the corner and reduce the size. i've tried reducing the black area around the edge of my moniter, but it doesn't help. any suggestions for achieving a scaled down help screen? susieq

we all help each other with sticky problems. some are abusing this sharing of ideas. several requests for help have come from one person, ken ivins, asking how to solve his problems. he holds himself as a professional, has a company and website, and charges others for his work http://www.kivins.com. then he comes here asking for free help. a couple of times, fine. but this person is making his living from us doing his work. maybe he should go to school and learn the way we did. i put money and sweat to acquire what i know. i share with people who don't take advantage of me. how do others feel? -- infoman

i am running ibconsole 7.5.0.5. i'd like to be able to view the sql help. whenever i open an interactive sql window and then click on the 'help' menu and select 'sql reference,' the window focus immediately shifts to my default web browser (firefox), but nothing happens. when i ran the interbase setup program, i performed a custom install and made sure that the client, gui tools, and documentation options were selected. did i miss something during install?
