archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:163817 --- i've been after myspace for months now to upgrade and optimize their code. they have no caching, no real 'proper' flow, and from what people heard at cfunited, no development cycle. the big thing they did? buy more hardware and move from cf 5 (yes, that's coldfusion 5) to bd.net and say that it'll solve their problems. well, here's a problem. i just went to their db.net site and this is what i got. looks like they still need some work: an error occurred while attempting to establish a connection to the service. the most likely cause of this problem is that the service is not currently running. you can use the 'services' control panel to verify that the service is running and to restart it if necessary. windows nt error number 2 occurred. the new atlanta crew have been using this as their flagship 'move to db' site and if i were them i'd think twice about it. i've held back blasting microsoft, new atlanta and myspace till now and will try to hold off some more in the future, but something has to slip and this is it. :) discover cfticket - the leading coldfusion help desk and trouble ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48

hey, this has probably been asked 50 million times, but i'm short on time... i'm sure you all know about myspace and how people have nifty videos on their pages and such, well i happen to have one. i know several people with videos on theor pages and for some reason they never play for me... i have the newest version of wmp and everything, it just doesn't play..it says the code error is 80040241. hopefully someone can help me with this? it gets on my nerves..i want a nifty video aon my site and i want to be able to see nifty videos...help? thanks in advance! -- this is where we both go numb now you broke my heart again this time you're fading now, you've crossed the line...

http://search.myspace.com/ http://editprofile.myspace.com/ both contain many js code that crashes b3 everytime. turning off js allows you to see the page's but since js was turned off you can't do anything. my conclusion is b3/8.0 is worthless and needs to be recoded from scratch or make it open source so us coders can help fix these issues. until opera make's the browser stable i will not recommend any of my users/friends to use this or the next version's. the only version that seems to be stable was 7.2. i understand opera wants to keep the code secret but lets not turn a good browser into a pile of junk that ie is today. -- scott grayban (remove the no-spam in the email address to reply)

i use the following code to add a new taskitem. set myobj = myspace.getdefaultfolder(olfol­dertasks).items.add() myobj.display now when closing/saving the item, i would like to run som vba code. thank for any hint. kind regards hans-christian francke
