when linking to images, other docs etc., i am choosing to reference relative to site root which gives me "/assets/images/image1.jpg" since my images are in a folder within a folder at the site root. my question i guess is there a way to be able to take out the first / and have the link work. i guess this is neccessary because i have my site named under 'manage sites' which places everthing in a folder in the directory under the site name. thanks,

here's the deal. i built a web site for one of my businesses using frontpage 2002 just before i switched over to dwmx. my business is sponsering a youth soccer team and i am building a team website at my fp site. i did not want to use fp for it so i created a subdirectory in the fp site called /soccer. the soccer dir is one dir. down from the root directory which holds the index.htm file. relative links in dw is causing problems (obviously). here's my question. can i create a dw site and make the root dir the same as the fp root? will it screw up the fp extensions? or fp files? i won't be using dw to edit fp pages or vice versa. fp is so damn fickle and delicate that it won't take much to really screw up my site. thanks jack

i plan to perform a side-by-side migration (currently a 2.0 sp5 site) to sms 2003. i would like to know if it is possible to keep the same site name. if i've read correctly, the sms 2.0 site will become a child site of the sms 2003 site, so can i name the new 2003 site with the same three-letter site code, or do i have to choose a new one. also, i have four secondary sites. if i understand correctly, these will disappear and no longer be needed? is there only one site in sms 2003, or will i have to address the naming conventions of my current secondary sites? thanks.
